CSL Behring Continues to Position its Business to Meet the Growing Demand for Plasma-Derived Medicines with the Purchase of the Bunge Property

KANKAKEE, IL. — 06-30-2017

CSL Behring L.L.C. has finalized an agreement to purchase the former Bunge property, just south of CSL Behring's manufacturing facility on Route 50 in Bradley. The 74-acre site includes existing utilities, office space, warehouse space and parking. Gendell Partners Bradley, LLC, an affiliate of Terraco, Inc., is the seller.

The closing on the property will be executed in two phases. Phase one consists of the farmland on the north and sound ends of the property and has been completed. Phase two, which consists of the remainder of the proprerty and includes demolition of existing manufacturing space, is anticipated to be complete by December 31, 2017.

According to Tricia Stewart, Sr. Vice President & General Manager of the Kankakee site, "This is an exciting time in the growth of CSL Behring. With this purchase, the Kankakee manufacting site ispoised for future expansion, enabling us to deliver on our promise of providing life-saving biotherapies to our patients."
